BluSmart's Leadership Shakeup(Exited): Navigating Change in the EV Ride-Hailing Industry

BluSmart Mobility, a pioneer in India's electric vehicle (EV) ride-hailing sector, is experiencing notable shifts within its top management team. Key executives, including CEO Anirudh Arun, Chief Business Officer Tushar Garg, Chief Technology Officer Rishabh Sood, and Vice-President of Experience Priya Chakravarthy, have stepped down from their roles. In response, Nandan Sharma, formerly the Vice-President of Business and Operations, has been appointed as the new CEO to guide the company through this transformative period. ​

These leadership changes coincide with BluSmart's strategic efforts to restructure its operations for enhanced financial stability. A significant aspect of this restructuring involves the sale of 2,997 electric vehicles to Chennai-based Refex Green Mobility. This move, representing approximately 34% of BluSmart's 8,700-vehicle fleet, includes Refex assuming an existing loan of ₹315 crore. Despite these adjustments, BluSmart assures that its ride-hailing services across Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, and Mumbai will continue without disruption. ​

As BluSmart navigates these changes, the company remains committed to achieving profitability within the next 6-8 quarters. The new leadership, under Nandan Sharma, is focused on steering the company toward sustainable growth in the competitive EV ride-hailing landscape.
